I grew up in a small town, and I’m really an old fashioned country girl. I have a good education and a good career, but those do not define me. I’m a well rounded individual with wide interests ranging from spending time with family & friends, barbecues, camping, riding horses, fishing, riding atv’s or snowmobiles, rodeo, and movies to musical theater, Shakespeare plays, photography, travel, antiquing, and much more. I am equally comfortable in heels and a dress, or boots, jeans and a ball cap. Although I do like to dress up and look my best, I am not high maintenance and do not require hours to get ready.
I am often on the go, and like to be out doing things with others, especially during the summer, but I also enjoy the rare opportunity to veg on the couch with a good book or favorite movie (made even more enjoyable with a snuggle buddy). I love to travel, and especially like road trips to the beach, or day trips to anywhere. I like spending time with a significant other, but also enjoy time away. I don’t find it necessary to spend every moment together, and won’t be jealous of a boys’ night out as long as my partner isn’t jealous when I go out with the girls. I am a good cook, and enjoy cooking and baking for others (especially when they are appreciative enough to do the dishes!).
My musical tastes are eclectic, and my iPod seems a bit schizophrenic at times jumping from country to new wave to classic rock to bluegrass to pop, almost anything but jazz, rap or r&b. However, country is the mainstay.
I love to laugh, joke & tease, and am often sarcastic and a bit of a smart a** (everyone likes a little one, nobody likes a smart one!). I’m from a large family, and we are all very close, spending a lot of time together.
I am very open and honest. I try to live truthfully with kindness, and am compassionate toward others. I’m very loyal to those I care about, and won’t tolerate cheaters. I'm usually an extrovert, but can sometimes be shy at first. I am generally optimistic and happy (although we all have our moments), and dislike being around negative people.
